Eliera meets some of the other Capello family members and purchases an antique book. Meanwhile, Cipher meets one of his family’s contacts.

Recap

Last session, Cipher and Eliera continued to investigate the mysterious soul mage who hijacked a legendary hero’s tomb for their own dark purposes. Cipher arranged to meet with one of the family’s contacts at the nearby magic college, Celia.

In this session…

While Cipher went out to meet the contact, Eliera got to know some of the other members of the Capello family. One of them took her, Ivellios, and Naivara out to some interesting spots in the city. One of these was a tiny old bookstore. There, Eliera discovered a first edition elven history book that was once gifted to King Julius. After some consideration, she purchases the book and decides to investigate it with Cipher later.

Meanwhile, Cipher meets with Celia. Celia doesn’t know of anyone or any incident that seems obviously tied to soul magic… but Cipher suspects that she may be hiding something, perhaps about the more senior professor she works with, Urania. He follows her back to the college and sneaks into her and Urania’s office. Just as he’s about to start investigating, though, Urania, a shadar-kai with a raven and a mastery over shadow magic, appears right behind him.
