One bard's take on D&D and other things
It’s hard to wait for the next D&D session! As a Dungeon Master, I’m happy to have some time to prep the next part of the adventure. But, as a player, it’s much more difficult to be patient. I want to do more with my character, see what happens next, but the constant rate that time progresses keeps me from fast-forwarding to next month.

No matter how well-thought out your concept for a character is, that concept isn’t going to survive the trip from your brain to your mouth to your gaming group’s ears unchanged. As much as I’d like to just pull my ideas straight from my head, like the origin of Athena, and throw them into play, that’s just not how things work around here. But that’s ok!
October—the perfect month for Curse of Strahd! Sirya continues her escape from Castle Ravenloft and her pursuer, the vampire spawn Alexander. Meanwhile, Kara and the rest of the party check in on Sirya with magic and decide what they’re going to do.
